DEWALT has announced the launch of DEWALT POWERSHIFT, an electrified equipment system for concrete jobsites. Designed to meet the needs of concrete professionals, the electrified line will allow users to transition away from gas-powered equipment.
The system, made up of six concrete tools, uses the same DEWALT POWERSHIFT 554 WH battery and high-speed charger across all tools. The vibrator can be activated remotely through DEWALT Wireless Tool Control and carried with an over-body hi-vis harness for transport.
The vibrator is designed for structural concrete work with walls, columns, piers and footers. The roll cage surrounding the vibrator protects the battery and the power unit when sliding down column and wall formwork and when sitting on the ground for footers and piers. The vibrator has the power to deliver 2-1/4-in. head performance and a consistent 12,000 vpm to handle slump.
This machine has 16 head and shaft combinations available, which include 1-1/2-, 1-3/4-, 2- and 2-1/2-in. heads and shafts at 7, 10, 16 and 21 ft. The vibrator also includes remote activation via DEWALT’s Wireless Tool Control technology. This helps the user control activation and deactivation to avoid covering the operator and their fall protection harness in concrete splatter.
